It was a great day with my mom, even though it rained really hard.

We agreed upon that he planned the vote. We have the highest mark, but he wants the other group. So, he used that vote thing as a some sort of excuse.

Ugh…I’ve a feeling that this blog is going to be concentrated on YPI…no…must not let that happen! D:

I THINK, *think* I won the school’s concert poster competition thing Well, first, I worked hard on it; second, my major competitors didn’t try to win this time. I wish I can scan it or something… lols…it’s bristol board size though. Basically, I painted a blond hair guy playing a violin with pink/red flower petals. I used acrylic paint on just regular dollar store bristol board… -sweatdrop, I know-

That’s the bright side of my week. Oh yeah, and I got a fairly decent mark on my history essay (even though it doesn’t even worth that much).

So then, the not-so-bright side. My Japanese summative speech project. -sigh- Messed up on it…My other classmates’ speeches were SO good. So natural and cute (lols, yeah, cute). On the other hand, I just sat there and talked and stuttered and looked at my paper…no one was even listening. I did not appreciate that. D< Even the sucky classmates were amazing. The teacher probably gave me a low 80. Ew. I came to Japanese class hoping to get a high 90, man, because I thought I was ahead and have connections to Japanese friends.

So, I decided to study Japanese very hard this summer. Damn it.

Other than that, there’s this Computer Science presentation I did on Monday. Apparently, it wasn’t so good, according to my fellow classmates. =____= Ughhh…what am I good for.

For my class, it was clear that the top two groups were my group and my friends’ group. These two groups were on the same level. Personally, I thought my group should’ve won, but we didn’t. Here’s the thing:

In the beginning of the class, the teacher asked one member of each group to have a little discussion outside the classroom. He already assigned the members, and he picked the least strongest person in my group because he likes people who talk in class. The remaining three of us DON’T really talk or make comments on issues, and I can totally see why we didn’t get picked. Apparently, there was a vote. Four people voted my group, and four people voted my friends’ group. However, my group’s chosen person decided to be selfish (that he doesn’t want to compete), so he chose my friends’ group.

And that’s how we lost. I think my group got the highest mark in the class (I’m a reasonal person, I know how to judge), so the reason he’s holding this stupid vote thing is because he likes my friends’ group. Two people of that group frequently talk aloud in class, and yup, he likes them. That is just totally unfair. We lost face too. We spent, like actually, a great amount of time on this presentation as opposed to their last minute effort.

Clearly, we won, but NOOO, stupid selfish people and favouritism teacher just had to condemn us. Thank you for making my day.

Literacy Test

I’ve the grade 10 literacy test coming up next Thursday, and I already feel like I failed it. I tried the questions, and they’re utterly stupid. For example, in the multiple choice section, they sometimes split the correct answer into several choices. Like this:

Context: The mug is big and yellow.

Question: Describe the properties of the mug.

a)smooth b)big c) yellow d)transparent

And, guess what? The answer is c)! Did you get it right? =__= Oh God, I’m gonna fail this illogical crap.

What’s ironic is, this LITERACY test even have spelling and grammar errors occurring in the readings. For instance, “its red and shiny.” Aren’t they the illiterate ones? According to my friend, they’re picky to the point where the student has to use pencil to write certain areas and use pen to write the other areas. Or else, the student will receive a mark of zero. Switching your utensils back and forth can be very time-consuming, so I guess they’re indeed trying to fail us in any possible way.

Anyways, that’s that.

ANIME NORTH

I’m trying to contact Anime North (via Email) b/c I wanna go volunteering there this year. However, they aren’t replying at all. I wonder if they still need volunteers.

The process is really confusing. On the website, it states that we’re suppose to hand in the waiver form and pay for membership (yes, you gotta PAY to volunteer..heh). We can also go sign up for volunteering at the day the convention is opening. That sounds kinda sketchy…I mean, no formal interviews? How do you know if you’re qualified?

School

Trying to do good in school these days. Unsuccessful. I got few 60s on tests/exams already. Asian-failed everything. Even my group projects aren’t receiving pretty marks. I wonder if I lagged everyone behind…That’s why I decided I want to take seriously on this upcoming YPI presentation of Civics. I always decide that I’ll be serious, but then my effort always seems to end up in vain. I began to wonder if my group would get good marks if I back off. But I’m not dumb, I can contribute lots of things. ):
